Admissions Schedule-2021, Eligibility and Syllabus for B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated Programme) in SIASTE Jhajjar
State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education (SIASTE), Jhajjar is an innovative teacher education institute established by Govt. of Haryana in 2013. The institute seeks applications for admission to following programme for 2021-25 batch:
1. B.A. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated Programme) - 30 seats
2. B.Sc. B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated Programme) - 70 seats (divided equally among Maths and Biology groups)
The admissions to institute will be made on the basis of merit list of Common Entrance Examination (CEE-2021) conducted by National Council of Education Research & Training (NCERT) and coordinated by Regional Institute of Education (RIE) Bhopal.
The admission process consists of two parts viz:
(i) Appearing in CEE-2021 conducted by RIE Bhopal under NCERT.
(ii) Participation in counseling process of institute (to be initiated after declaration of result of CEE-2021) with valid CEE-2021 score. Therefore, eligible candidates interested in taking admission to institute are advised to appear in CEE-2021 by submitting the application at link: www.cee.ncert.gov.in

Admission Process:
(A) Registration for CEE-202:
The online registrations for the CEE-2021 to be conducted by NCERT and moderated by RIE Bhopal are open now. For more details candidates can visit the portal: http://cee.ncert.gov.in and fill the form for appearing in CEE-2021.
Registration/ Application Fee-
A application / registration fee of Rs. 1000/- for General and OBC
Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PwD/EWS candidates will be charged by CEE office.
(B) Admission and Counselling Process:
The counseling for the admission to be institute will be conducted by the institute separately. This year due to prevailing retractions / lockdown imposed by the government the “Admission and Counseling Process” will be accomplished in on-line mode. The schedule for this process will be displayed on the institute website after declaration of result of CEE-2021 by NCERT / RIE Bhopal.
Eligibility for Admission:
(A) Eligibility for B.Sc. B.Ed. Programme:
(i) Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (Mathematics includes Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (Biology includes Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level.
(ii) Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognised by University/ Board with at least 60% marks .The examination should be recognised by M.D.U. Rohtak, the affiliating University of SIASTE.
(iii) Candidates who have passed +2 or any equivalent examination in 2019, 2020 or appearing / appeared in 2021 only.
(B) Eligibility for B.A. B.Ed. Course
(i) Candidates must have passed Hr. Secondary/Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science, Arts and Commerce streams with at least 60% marks in 2019, 2020 or appearing / appeared in 2021 only.
(ii) The examination should be recognized by M.D.U. Rohtak, the affiliating University of SIASTE.
Note:
The relaxation as per State Govt. of Haryana / MDU Rohtak norms will be applicable to relevant categories.
Criteria for CEE-2021 Results, Score & Ranking
(i) For B.Sc. B.Ed.: A cumulative rank of each candidate will be decided by CEE office by considering 60% of the marks scored in CEE-2021 and 40% of the marks obtained in only the subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) in the qualifying examination.
(ii) For B.A. B.Ed.: A cumulative rank of each candidate will be decided by CEE office by considering 60% of the marks scored in CEE-2021 and 40% of the marks obtained in qualifying examination.
Note:
The CEE office may change the criteria of Results, Score & Ranking. The institute will consider only the final score / rank issued by CEE-2021 without any moderation.
Exam Pattern of CEE 2021
The detailed pattern of CEE-2021 is available on portal http://cee.ncert.gov.in. The few keypoints regarding CEE-2021 are as follow:
(i) No. of test items-80, Time Duration-120 minutes.
(ii) Out of 80 questions, Language Proficiency in English 20 questions, Teaching Aptitude/Attitude 30 questions and Reasoning Ability 30 questions weightage will be given.
(iii) Medium of Test Booklets – English and Hindi.
(iv) Correct answer(s) will carry 2 marks each, Wrong answer(s) will carry negative marking of (minus) -0.5 marks each and Question(s) unattempted will carry no marks.
(v) Exam duration: 2 Hrs. (from 9:00 am to 11:00 am)
Syllabus of CEE 2021
For all the groups, areas to be tested are
(i) Language Proficiency,
(ii) Teaching Aptitude/Attitude, and
(iii) Reasoning Ability.
(i) Language Proficiency indicating specific areas like comprehension, rearranging sentences, selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding out errors in parts of the sentences, finding out equivalent meaning to the given phrases, finding out suitable words for the incomplete sentences, sequencing, grammar which includessynonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, tenses, articles.
(ii) Teaching Aptitude will cover specific areas like attitude towards education, children and teaching profession; interest in teaching; leadership qualities & groupmanagement; emotional & social adjustment; intrapersonal & interpersonal skills; and general awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education.
(iii) Reasoning Ability indicating specific areas like verbal non-verbal reasoning, missing numbers, number series, letter series, theme finding, jumbling, analogy, odd one out, arranging the statements in a sequential form, statement and conclusions, syllogism, logical problems, establishing relationships.
Fee Structure:
Institute charge fee of Rs. 18400/- annually. Students are required to submit the fee at start of each year before prescribed a cutoff date. The fee may be changed at the discretion of Govt. institute management. In case a student withdraws the admission the refund of fee will be made out as per rules of Haryana Govt. / MDU Rohtak.
Documents Required at the time of Admission:
The Candidates should submit all original certificates/documents with self attested copies of the testimonials at the time of admission along with six latest passport size photographs. They will also be required to submit the following documents. Candidates should retain a printed copy of the Application Form (duly filled in by the candidate)
(i) Resident of Haryana: Self attested photocopy of Haryana Resident Certificate issued by the competent authority i.e., Deputy Commissioner/City Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Officer (civil)/ Tehsildar/ Naib Tehsildar/ Head of the department. In the case of candidate who has qualified the examination i.e., 10+2 from a school situated in Haryana for current year will produce a certificate issued by the principal of the concerned institution as resident certificate.
(ii) Self attested photocopy of 10+2/Sr. Secondary School Certificate issued by Board.
(iii) Self attested photocopy of the secondary certificate as a documentary proof of age and subject passing Hindi/Sanskrit.
(iv) Original copy of the certificate of good conduct issued by the Principal of theInstitution last attended or a Gazzetted Officer / MLA / MP.
(v) An affidavit regarding anti ragging from students & parents. (vi) A declaration / under taking from the students for abiding rules and regulation ofPrarambh/ and its Hostel.
(vii) Migration certificate of Board of School Education concerned in original.
(viii) Only two self-attested photocopy of the following certificates (belonging to reserve categories) is to be submitted along with the original certificates at the time of Admission/Counseling.
(a) For the candidates belonging to SC: copy of certificate issued by the competent authority i.e., Tehsildar/ Naib Tehsildar, Head of the Department- in case of Govt. employees.
(b) For the candidates belonging to BCA/BCB: copy of certificate issued by the competent authority i.e., Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar/Head of the Department-in case of Govt. employees.
(c) For the candidates belonging to Economically Backward Persons in the General Caste Category (EBPGC): copy of certificate issued by the competent authority i.e., Tehsildar/NaibTehsildar, Head of the Department - incase of Govt. employees as per the State Government instructions.
(d) Physically Challenged (PHC): copy of certificate issued by Civil Surgeon of the District Concerned. The disability should not be less than 40%.
(e) For Dependent of children or grandchildren (Maternal/Paternal) claiming the benefit of Freedom Fighter: The certificate from Chief Secretary Haryana and relationship certificate from the Deputy Commissioner/competent authority.
(f) For Ex-servicemen & Dependent Ex-servicemen category: copy of certificate issued from the Zila Sainik/District Sailors and Soldiers Board.
