Age Limit(As on cut-off date i.e.01-01-2021)

The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are: 
18-25 years as on cut-off date (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2003).
18-27 years as on cut-off date(i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003)

Relaxation in Upper age limit for different categories is Permissible as per Govt. norms.

NCHM JEE - 2021 Schedule

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR HOTEL MANAGEMENT JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (NCHM JEE) - 2021 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE-2021) for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Course at the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT) for the Academic Year 2021-22 in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode. 

What is NCHM JEE ?

The Institutes affiliated to NCHMCT offer B.Sc.(Hospitality & Hotel Administration) programme jointly with the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The Three-Year (Six Semester) course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector.

Admission to the course is through the NCHM JEE exam. The NCHM JEE score is accepted by all the participating Institutes for admission to the B.Sc (HHA) courses offered by their respective institutions

Eligibility Criteria for NCHM JEE-2021

1. A candidate should have passed 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects, from a recognized Educational Board. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination. 

2. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in NCHM JEE 2021 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30.09.2021 

3. The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates / documents, including category certificate and PwD certificate (wherever applicable) at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, due to the inability to produce geniune certificate in original in support of passing 10+2 or equivalent examination and fulfillment of age criteria and category certificate or PwD certificate (wherever applicable), his/her admission will stand cancelled. 

Age Limit 

For candidates from General, General (EWS) and OBC categories, upper age limit is 25 years as on 01.07.2021. Candidates born on or after July 01, 1996 are eligible. 
In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates and Physically challenged candidates, upper age limit is 28 years as on 01.07.2021. That is SC/ST and Physicallly challenged candidates born on or after July 01, 1993 are eligible. 
Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate shall be the authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time of counseling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for Counselling/admission. 

Physical Fitness 

All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate of carrying out practical claims as required in course at the time of admission from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format.

Admit Card for NCHM JEE-2021 

The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidates, subject to their satisfying the eligibility conditions. 
The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the Examination at the given Centre on Date, timing and discipline as indicated in their Admit Card.
No candidate will be allowed to appear the Test at the Examination Centre, the Date and timing other than that allotted to him/her in his/her Admit Card. 
In case a candidate is unable to download Admit Card from the website, he/she may approach the Help Line between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm or write to NTA at nchm@nta.ac.in

Postponement of NCHM JEE- 2021 and Extension of Registration

NTA notification dated 04.05.2021:-
Registration for the entrance examination for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) Course at the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT) for the Academic Year 2021-22, is in progress.
Meanwhile, representations are being received from candidates seeking an extension of the last date for submission of online application forms for the exam, on account of difficulties being experienced by them due to COVID 2019 and the disruptions caused by it. With a view to remove hardship caused to candidates and to ensure larger participation of candidates, it has been decided to postpone the NCHM JEE-2021 exam scheduled on 12 June 2021 and also extend the last date for submission of online application forms for the exam, as follows:

1. Last date for submission of online exam application forms- 31 May 2021 (upto 5.00 PM)
2. Last date for payment of the exam fee online- 31 May 2021 (Upto 11.50 PM)
3. Correction window- From 02 June 2021 to 08 June 2021

The revised date of the exam will be announced in due course.

Age for entry into Haryana Govt service or to compete for regular recruitment & relaxation

Age for entry into Government service or to compete for regular recruitment and relaxation in age under various circumstances. - '03/02/2021'

Haryana Government has decided to issue consolidated instructions in supersession of all the instructions already issued by Government regarding fixation of lower and upper age limit for entry into Government service or to compete for regular recruitment and also regarding grant of relaxation in upper age limit under various circumstances

Government has considered the matter and decided as below:

i) The minimum age of a person for entry into Government service shall be 18 years and maximum age shall be 42 years in respect of the posts of all Groups A, B, C & D in addition to the age relaxation prescribed herein for various categories.

Until necessary amendment is made in the rules by the Finance Department, these instructions shall be applicable with immediate effect instead of the provision which exists in Rule 22 of the Haryana Civil Services (General) Rules, 2016.

What is UGC-NET?

UGC-NET is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.

Marking Scheme

i) Each question carries 02 (two) marks. 
ii) For each correct response, candidate will get 02 (two) marks. 
iii) There is no negative marking for incorrect response. 
iv) No marks will be given for questions un-answered/un-attempted/marked for Review. 
v) To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option. 
vi) If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous during the Key Challenge, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers would be given the credit. Only for dropped question(s), if any, marks will be given to all the candidates. 
vii) In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to the candidates who have attempted it

UGC NET May, 2021 Syllabus and Subject

The List of Subjects and their Codes for December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) of UGC NET are given at Annexure-II. The candidates may note that the syllabus has been modified and the new syllabus applicable from June 2019 onwards has also been notified through a Public Notice on NTA website. Updated Syllabi for all NET Subjects can be downloaded from the UGC website: https://www.ugcnetonline.in/syllabus-new.php.

Eligibility Criteria for December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) of UGC NET

Qualifying Examination:

(i) General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC (available on the website: www.ugc.ac.in in Humanities and Social Science (including languages), Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. List of subjects at Post Graduation level is attached as Annexure-IV. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Third gender category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test. 
(ii) Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/eligibility for Assistant Professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / Third gender category candidates). Such candidates must complete their Master’s degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified. 
(iii) Candidates belonging to the Third gender category are eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee, age and Eligibility Criteria for NET (i.e. JRF and Assistant Professor) as are available to SC/ST/PwD categories. The subject-wise qualifying cut-offs for this category would be the lowest among those for SC / ST / PwD / OBC–NCL / General-EWS categories in the corresponding subject.
(iv) The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination have been completed by 19 September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET. The list of Post-Graduation courses and their codes is given at Annexure-V. 
(v) Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only. The candidates, whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of NET subjects attached as Annexure-IV, may appear in a related subject. 
(vi) Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility nor printout of their Application Form or Confirmation Page to NTA. However, the candidates, in their own interest, must ensure themselves about their eligibility for the test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the UGC/NTA at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action. NTA does not verify the information provided by the candidates during online registration and hence candidature will be purely provisional subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria. 
(vii) Candidates with post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/ Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/ institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/ certificate with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiu.ac.in)

Age Limit and Relaxation

(i) JRF: 
Not more than 31 years as on 1 st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 01.03.2021 (This age limit is applicable for the current examination only).
A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC-NCL (as per the Central list of OBC available on website: www.ncbc.nic.in) /SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates with research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant / related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority, which should be a recognized Indian university / Institute of National Importance / foreign university which is duly approved / recognized / accredited in its own Country / Public Sector Undertaking of Government of India / State Government in India. The research should not have been carried out towards completion of graduation or post-graduation degree(s). Three years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates with L.L.M. degree. A relaxation of upto 5 years is provided to the candidates who have served in the armed forces subject to the length of service in the armed forces upto the first day of the month in which the concerned UGC-NET is concluded. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances.

(ii) Assistant Professor: 
There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.

Admit Card for December 2020 Cycle UGC-NET 

The Admit Card would be issued provisionally to the candidates of December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) of UGC NET, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. 
The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the Examination at the given Centre on date, shift, time and discipline as indicated in his/her Admit Card. 
No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination centre, on Date and Timings other than that allotted to them in their Admit card.

Extension of last date for submission of online applications for the UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) Examination

In continuation to the Public Notice dated the 02 February 2021 regarding submission of online application form of UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021)for Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor, it is hereby informed that the last date for submission of online application form, has been extended from 02 March, 2021 to 09 March, 2021, to enable the aspiring candidates who have not been able to apply in the Online Application Form. This is being done in view of a number of requests being received in this regard.
Accordingly the revised schedule will be as follows:
1. On-line submission of Application Form- 02 February 2021 to 0March 2021(up to 11.50 p.m.)
2. Successful final transaction of fee- 02 February 2021 to 10 March 2021(through Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI and PAYTM Service up to 11.50 p.m.)
3. Correction window- 1March, 2021 to 1March, 2021 (up to 11.50 p.m.)

Correction in the Online Application Form of UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) Examination

It is brought to the notice of all the registered candidates of UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) that the facility for correction in their data (wherever necessary), will be operational on the website ugcnet.nta.nic.in from 12 March 2021 to 16 March 2021 (up to 11.50 p.m.). 
All the registered candidates for the said examination are advised to visit the website and verify their particulars. They are further advised to make correction in their particulars, in their respective registration form, wherever incorrect or incomplete. The candidates are allowed to make the corrections, (if any), latest by 16 March 2021 (up to 11.50 p.m.). Thereafter, no correction in particulars, whatsoever, will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances. The additional fee (if applicable) shall be paid by the candidate concerned either through Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI and PAYTM Wallet generated during the online correction. 
The correction facility will be available on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in as per the schedule given below:-

Please note that the correction facility is available only to those candidates who have already successfully submitted the application form along with the requisite fee on or before 10 March 2021. The candidates are allowed to make the corrections, if any, only during the period specified above. Since, it is a onetime facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardships to them the candidates need to be very careful while making correction(s). Any further change would not be permitted after 11:50 p.m., 16 March 2021, under any circumstances.NOTE: No change in the online Application Form of UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) will be entertained through fax/hard copy application, including email etc.

Postponement of the UGC-NET Dec. 2020 cycle (May 2021) Exam.

The UGC -National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) for December 2020 cycle (May 2021) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode is scheduled between 02 to 17 May 2021 throughout the country covering 81 subjects.

However, looking at the present situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and also taking into account the safety and well-being of the candidates and examination functionaries, it has been decided to postpone the UGC-NET December 2020 cycle(May 2021) Examination.

The revised dates for the UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021) Examination will be announced later and at least 15 days before the examination.
