GATE 2021 - Important Dates

i. GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) Website Opens- Monday, 14th September 2020
ii. Closing Date of REGULAR online registration / application portal- Wednesday, 30th September 2020
iii. End of EXTENDED period for online registration / application (with late fee)- Wednesday, 7th October 2020
iv. Last Date for change of category, paper and examination city (an additional fee will be applicable)- Friday, 13th November 2020
v. Availability of Admit Card on the Online Application Portal (for download and printing)- Friday, 8th January 2021

Importance of GATE-

Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to Postgraduate Programs (Master's and Doctoral) with Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government Scholarships / Assistantships, subject to the admission criteria of the admitting institute.

The GATE score is also used by some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for their recruitment and by several other universities in India and abroad for admissions.

Validity-

GATE 2021 score will remain valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of results.

Two NEW subject papers are introduced: 

ES (Environmental Science and Engineering)
XH (Humanities and Social Sciences) in Economics / English / Linguistics / Philosophy / Psychology / Sociology.

GATE 2021 will be conducted for 27 Subjects (also referred to as “papers”).

Eligibility-

Eligibility criteria is relaxed. A Candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR has already completed any Government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible to appear for GATE-2021 examination.

AGE-

There is NO age limit to appear for GATE 2021 examination.

Exam Centres-

The GATE examination is conducted in different cities across India as well as six cities outside India (In International centres, GATE-2021 will be conducted only if the current COVID-19 situation eases and travel and other restrictions are relaxed. Else GATE-2021 in international centres will be "CANCELLED").

Paper Style-

All Test Papers of GATE 2021 will be entirely objective type. Pattern of questions may include
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ),
Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and/or
Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

ONE or TWO subject papers allowed. TWO Paper combinations have to be chosen from the given list of combinations of papers. Final allotment of TWO papers will still be subject to availability of infrastructure and dates.

1. Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents' name, parents' mobile number, etc.). Please note that the name of the candidate in the application form must exactly be the same as that in the valid photo ID, which the candidate MUST produce in original while appearing for GATE-2021 examination at the centre.
GATE 2021 scorecard will be issued as per the name entered in the application form.
Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Dr/Mrs/Smt/Prof/Capt, etc. MUST NOT be used before name.

Polytechnic Admissions Scheule 2020-21

Diploma Engg., Diploma Engg. Lateral Entry and Diploma Pharmacy Admissions for the Academic Year 2020-21

Applications for admission in all Diploma Courses (including categories) shall be invited online at www.onlinetesthry.gov.in as per “Key Dates”

For the session 2020-21, admissions in various Diploma Courses shall be made through 02 Online Off-Campus counselings on the following basis: 

I. Admission in Diploma Engg. Course including HGST, KM, MAR, SDB, TFW and EWSs categories shall be made on the basis of merit of Secondary School Examination (Matriculation) or equivalent qualifying examination. 

II. Admissions in Diploma Engg. Lateral Entry Course including TFW and EWSs category shall be made on the basis of the inter-se-merit of %age of qualifying examination. 

III. Admission for Diploma Pharmacy Course including MAR and EWSs category shall be made on the basis of inter-se-merit prepared on the basis of %age of qualifying examination.

Important: 

 Schedule of Counseling(s) may change, therefore, the candidates are advised to visit HSTES websites regularly. 
 Merit will be prepared for online verified candidates only who have deposited the Application Fee. 
 Allotted seat of the candidate will automatically cancelled if his/ her documents/ certificates found incorrect in any stage of online admission process for the course. 
 Admission in the online reporting period will be confirmed for those candidates only who have deposited their online Admission and Tuition Fee for the said course as per the schedule as mentioned above.

Management quota seats

The decision regarding admissions of management quota seats and leftover/ unfilled seats through manual counseling will be hosted on the HSTES website according to the situation of COVID-19 and as decided by the competent authority in the month of August, 2020. (The private unaided institutions shall make admission against management quota seats (25% of the sanctioned seats including 15% seats for Children/ Wards of NRI‟s) after online centralized counseling(s) at their own level. The private institutions can also fill any unfilled seats out of 75% seats at their own level. For making admission (against management quota seats and unfilled seats out of 75% seats) following procedure shall be followed in a fair and transparent manner: Diploma Engg., Diploma Pharmacy & Diploma Engg. Lateral Entry Courses: The management quota seats shall be filled on the basis of Inter-se-Merit/ Rank of qualifying examination).

ELIGIBILITY 

The candidates under all categories must have passed in 10+2 examination and obtained a minimum of 50% marks (except SC category) in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology subjects from a “recognized*/ approved Board of School Education having equivalence by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi/CBSE/ICSE and also by Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani”. As per Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana letter no. 22/129/2013-1GSIII dated 16.07.2014, the SC category candidates will be allowed a relaxation up to 5% of the requirement for General Category i.e. the SC candidates securing a minimum of 47.5% marks in aggregate of the four subjects mentioned above will be eligible to apply for admission. 
No such relaxation will be applicable for management quota seats of IIVER, Bahu Akbarpur, Rohtak. 

Age-

The candidate must have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as on 31st December, 2020. Candidates attaining 17 years on 1st January 2021 or later will not be eligible. The upper age limit for candidates of all categories (except SC and BC) is 25 years as on 31st December, 2020. This upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates of SC and BC categories of Haryana State. 
No such relaxation in the upper age will be applicable for management quota seats of IIVER, Bahu Akbarpur, Rohtak.

ELIGIBILITY

For admission to VLDD Course: 

The candidates under all categories must have passed in 10+2 examination of any stream and the candidates under all categories must have passed matriculation/ 10th standard examination and obtained a minimum of 60 % marks (except for SC category) from a recognized/ approved board of school education having equivalence by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi /CBSE/ICSE and also by Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani. As per Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana letter no. 22/129/2013- 1GSIII Dated 16.07.2014, the SC category candidates will be allowed a relaxation up to 5% of the requirement for General Category i.e. the SC candidates securing a minimum of 57 % marks in 10th standard examination. No such relaxation will be applicable for management quota seats of eleven affiliated private colleges.

For admission to DVLT Course: 

All the candidates seeking admission to DVLT Programme of IPVS, Hisar must appear in the NEET(UG)-2020 to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The candidates under all categories must have passed in 10+2 examination in Medical/PCB stream and obtained a minimum of 50% marks (except SC category) in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology subjects from a recognized/ approved Board of School Education having equivalence by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi/CBSE/ICSE and also by Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani. As per Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana letter no. 22/129/2013- 1GSIII Dated 16.07.2014, the SC category candidates will be allowed a relaxation up to 5% of the requirement for General Category i.e. the SC candidates securing a minimum of 47.5% marks in aggregate of the four subjects 17 mentioned above in 10+2 examination will be eligible to apply for admission.

Age-

The candidate must have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as on 31st December, 2020. The candidates (including fresh candidates of GNCT Delhi) should not be less than 17 years and not more than 22 years of age as on 31.12.2020. Candidates attaining 17 years as on 1st January 2021 or later will not be eligible. Born on 1.1.2004 or later is not eligible. 
However, for the reserve categories (SC and BC), there will be relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit. For inservice candidates of all categories, the maximum age limit is 50 years as on 31.12.2020. 
No such relaxation will be applicable for management quota seats of eleven affiliated private colleges.

How to File NEET Score and Score Card-

The candidates who have applied for admission to DVLT programme have to login with their application ID and Password at the university website www.luvas.edu.in; https://admission.eluvas.in for filling of NEET (UG) 2020 Score and uploading the score card issued by the NTA for all types of seats of IPVS, LUVAS, Hisar.

Important Note-

The candidates, who have been allotted seats as per the merit based on the NEET (UG) 2020 Score in DVLT in the respective category, are to report for document checking and other admission formalities as per the schedule in the Veterinary Auditorium, College of Veterinary Sciences, LUVAS, (CCS HAU Campus), Hisar, failing which they will have no claim for admission. No separate letter in this connection shall be issued.

The candidates shall have to pay fees and other charges as prescribed in the prospectus 2020-2021 there and then, otherwise the seat will be declared vacant. If any candidate after completion of admission formalities does not deposit the required fee and other charges, his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she will not be eligible for subsequent counselling(s). Also if any candidate remains absent at the time of document verification, fee deposition and medical examination etc., he/she will not be considered in the subsequent counselling(s) even if he / she is higher in merit. Further, if a candidate refuses to accept admission on his/her turn, he/she shall lose his/her right of admission. He / she will not be considered for admission on the subsequent counselling(s) even if he / she is higher in merit. 

The candidates are required to bring all the original documents, two recently taken photos and two sets of self-attested photocopies of documents etc. as per rule 3.11 of Chapter-III of the Prospectus, at the time of document verification, failing which they shall be refused admission.
