Exam. Cancellation NOTICE 

The Staff Selection Commission, in order to maintain the integrity and fairness of the selection process, has suo-motu decided to cancel the examination for the Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFs & Asst. Sub-Inspectors in CISF Examination, 2016 held on 20th March, 2016 because one paper of the afternoon session was found to have been compromised. 

RE-EXAMINATION DATE-

The re-examination for only those candidates who had appeared in the examination in the forenoon and afternoon shifts on 20th March, 2016 will now be held on 5 th June, 2016.

The Staff Selection Commission will hold an examination for Recruitment of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF on 20-3-2016 (Paper-I) & 05-06-2016 (Paper-II) the details of which are as under:- 

Sub Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police: 

The post carries pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 and is classified as Group ‘C’ by Delhi Police. 

Sub-Inspector in CAPFs: (Central Armed Police Forces) 

The post carries pay scale of Rs 9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200 and is classified as Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. 

Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF: 

The post carries pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 in PB-2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- and is classified as Group ‘C’.

Note: Candidates selected for appointment for posts of SI in CAPFs and ASI in CISF are liable to serve anywhere in India. 

NATIONALITY / CITIZENSHIP: 

A candidate must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to the Examination provisionally but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. 

(A) AGE LIMITS-

For the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & CAPFs and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF is 20-25 years. 
Note 
I: The upper age limit for the post of Sub Inspector in CAPFs and ASI in CISF is relaxable for Central Government Civilian Employees as per extant Government order. 
Note 
II: The crucial date for age-limit is reckoned with reference to 01-01-2016. Candidates should note that only the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age eligibility and no subsequent request for its change will be considered. 

ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (as on 01.01.2016): 

BACHELOR’S DEGREE FROM A RECOGNISED UNIVERSITY OR EQUIVALENT. 
Note-I:- For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only:- Male candidates must possess and also carry a valid Driving License for LMV(Motor cycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests . Otherwise they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. However the candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motor Cycle and Car) can apply for all other CAPFs posts. 
NOTE-II: As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification No. 44 dated 01.03.1995 published in Gazette of India edition dated 08.04.1995, the Degree obtained through open Universities/Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU. Accordingly, unless such Degrees had been recognized for the period when the candidates acquired the relevant qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification. 
Note – III: Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification as on 01-01-2016 will not be eligible and need not apply. 
Note- IV: All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission will be required to produce all relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all the three years of Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Certificate of Graduation as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-01-2016 failing which the candidature of such candidate will be cancelled by the Commission. The candidates who are able to prove by documentary evidence that the result of the educational qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he/she has been declared passed will also be considered to have met the required educational qualification.

Application Fee- 

Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)
Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribes and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee, as per rules/instructions of Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India. 
Mode of payment of fee payable: 
Candidate may note that only on line applications will be accepted at http://ssconline2.gov.in 
Fee paid in respect of online applications through SBI Challan /Net banking and any credit and debit cards will be accepted. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
