Chandigarh Police- Important Notice for 520 post of Constable

CHANDIGARH POLICE RECRUITMENT OF 520 CONSTABLE (EXECUTIVE)

Important notice for candidates who have applied for 520 posts of Constable (Executive) advertised in the year 2015 

Education Qualification 

The minimum education qualifications for recruitment to the post of Constables (Executive) shall is as follows:
Candidate must be Higher Secondary (10+2 or equivalent) from a recognized Board of Secondary Education on the date of application.  
In case of Ex-servicemen, candidate should be 10+2 or in possession of Graduation certificate from Army or Navy or Air Force. 

Driving License- 

Driving License for the recruitment to the post of Constable (Executive) is mandatory for Male candidates including Ex-servicemen candidate. 
Candidates should have valid Driving License on the date of filling of application form to drive Motorcycle with gear (MCWG) and Motor Car (LMV) or Higher category of vehicles (HTV) issued by a Licensing Authority to drive throughout the territorial jurisdiction of India. 
“It is clarified that license for “Light Motor Vehicle” and “Transport Vehicle”, being a heavier class than “Motor Car”, shall be deemed to fulfill the condition of “Motor Car” but such applicants must be licensed to drive a “Motor Cycle” also.” . 
Learning License will not be considered. The candidature of those who have uploaded Learning License summarily rejected. 

Ex-Servicemen-

During scrutiny it has been found that some ex-servicemen candidates have applied after taking NOC from their concerned unit. 
Only those candidates will be consider eligible under Ex-servicemen category who are discharge from defense between 01.01.2013 and 31.12.2015 and have been issued a discharge certificate. 
As per page no. 21-22 of Standing Orders 1/2015 dated 06.10.2015 (available on web site of Chandigarh Police) : “....candidates can derive the benefit of Ex-servicemen only after..... 
(i) Who retired from such service after earning his pension; or 
(ii) Whose discharge book has the endorsement of Ex-servicemen; or...........” In view of Standing Order those are not discharged from service and applied for the post after taking NOC are not eligible for the post of constable and their applications will be rejected, unless their NOC mention a firm date of discharge before 31st March, 2017.  

Benefit to SC/OBC Category candidate-

Candidates belonging to SC/OBC category are hereby informed that they are only eligible to derive the benefit of caste if their caste exist in the list of caste prepared by Chandigarh Administration in their respective category of SC and OBC. 
Both list of SC and OBC castes are available on website of Chandigarh Police. The candidature of those who have applied under SC/OBC category but their caste as per certificate issued to them does not exist in the list of as applicable to Chandigarh (UT), shall be rejected/cancelled.
