Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, ensure you meet the eligibility requirements (as per the latest Information Bulletin):

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university.

Minimum marks: 55% for General/Unreserved category; 50% for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and Transgender candidates.

Final-year postgraduate students are also eligible, provided they complete their degree within two years.

Age Limit:

JRF: Maximum 30 years (relaxations apply for reserved categories, women, and candidates with research experience—up to 5 years).

Assistant Professorship: No upper age limit.

Subject Eligibility: You must choose the subject of your postgraduate degree or a closely related one (from the 85 available subjects).

Exam Pattern

UGC NET is a single exam with two papers, conducted in one sitting:

Paper 1: Teaching & Research Aptitude (100 marks, 50 questions)Tests general skills like teaching aptitude, research methodology, reasoning, comprehension, data interpretation, and general awareness.

Paper 2: Subject-Specific (200 marks, 100 questions)Based on the subject chosen by the candidate (e.g., English, History, Management).

2. Selection Criteria and Other Instructions 

Total Marks: 100 
I. Written Examination-95 Marks 
II. The total no. of questions will be 100 with weightage of 0.95 marks for each question. 
There shall be no negative marking for wrong answer. 
At least one of the five options for each question shall be filled necessarily. Five Minutes extra shall be given to mark fifth option, if candidate does not know the answer. Total time allowed for the paper will be (100+5) =105 minutes including these five minutes. 
In case a candidate doesn’t mark any of the five options for a question then 0.95 marks for each un-attempted question shall be deducted. Each question will carry equal marks. 
III. Socio-Economic criteria and experience- 05 Marks 
Note: - 
No applicant shall be given more than 5 marks for socio-economic criteria and experience under any circumstances.

Admit Card for written examination of the candidates will be uploaded on the Commission’s Web-site i.e. www.hssc.gov.in shortly. 
Candidates are advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and follow the same strictly.

Haryana CET Group D Admit Card

Haryana CET Group D Admit Card

National Testing Agency is conducting the written examination (OMR Based) of Common Eligibility Test (CET) for various Group-D posts against Advt. No. 01/2023 on behalf of HSSC in Pen & Paper Mode (Offline) on 21st & 22nd October, 2023 in U.T. Chandigarh and different Cities/ Districts in the State of Haryana, as per the following timings:

Morning : 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM

PGT Computer Science Exam. Postponed

HPSC PGT Computer Science Exam. 01.10.2023 Postponed 

Haryana Public Service Commission i.e. HPSC has postponed the Subject Knowledge Test for the post of PGT Computer Science for Rest of Haryana and Mewat Cadre which was scheduled for 01.10.2023 due to High Court orders dated 28.09.2023 in CWP no. 13816 of 2020. 

According to HPSC notification fresh date for Subject Knowledge Test would be announced later on.

Haryana Staff Selection Commission will conduct the written examination Optical Mark Recognition (OMR Sheet Based) on 05.08.2023 (Saturday) & 06.08.2023 (Sunday) for all Categories under Group No. 56 & 57 against Advt. No. 03/2023 of Group-C posts CET (2nd Phase)

Admit Cards

Admit Card for written examination of the candidates will be uploaded on the Commission’s Web-site i.e. www.hssc.gov.in shortly. 

All the shortlisted candidates, (shortlisted as per advertised criteria) in above mentioned Group i.e. 56 & 57, may download the Admit Card from 01st August, 2023 onwards. 

Candidates are advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and follow the same strictly.

Written Exam Group-C Posts CET (2ND Phase) 

HSSC has notified that written examination for following groups is going to be held on 01.07.2023 & 02.07.2023. 
Admit cards are being issued to all those candidates who fulfill the essential qualification criteria and experience required for the posts mentioned below and they may also download their admit card from HSSC website i.e. www.hssc.gov.in from 28.06.2023. 

Message shall be sent to all the such eligible candidates (subject to final scrutiny) on their registered E-mail Id and Mobile number shortly. 

It is also informed that the candidates may download admit card from 28.06.2023 onwards.
