Online applications are invited for direct recruitment of under mentioned categories of posts using the website of HARYANA STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION i.e. www.hssc.gov.in. The online application can be filled up from 10.02.2017 to 28.02.2017 till 11.59 P.M
No offline application form or copy of downloaded application form will be accepted by the office. 

The Selection shall be made in accordance with the provisions under rule 12.14 to 12.19 of Punjab Police Rules-1934 as applicable to Haryana and Government instructions issued from time to time regarding Reservation, Qualification/eligibility conditions, and other documents will be determined with regard to last date fixed to apply online applications also called as closing date i.e. 28.02.2017

DETAILS OF POSTS AND QUALIFICATIONS-

POLICE DEPARTMENT, HARYANA

Cat. No. 1 4500 posts of Male Constable (General Duty). 

(Gen=1300, SC=900, BCA=700, BCB=400, EBPG=500, ESM-GEN=350, ESM-SC=100, ESM-BCA=100, ESM-BCB=150) 

Educational Qualification-

i) The minimum educational qualification for the post of Constable shall be 10+2 for all categories. 
ii) Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard.

Physical Standard-

172 Centimeter 

Chest- 
83 Centimeter (Unexpanded) to 87 Centimeter (expanded) 


Eligible reserve categories as per latest existing Govt. Reservation Policy

Age:-
18-25 years (On the first day of the month in which the applications are invited for recruitment of Constable i.e on 01.02.2017). 
Note-
(i) For Ex-servicemen- the break in service between the date of discharge and between the 1st day of the month (i.e 01.02.2017) in which enrollment process is started, shall not exceed four years as per rule 12.24 (1) (C) of Punjab Police Rules-1934. 

(ii) For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Backward Class & Economic Backward Persons of General Category relaxation in upper age limit of 5 years shall be given as per Punjab Police Rules 12.15 (1) and Govt. instructions issued vide letter No. 3/2/2013-4GSIII, dated 05.02.2015.

Pay Scale: Rs.21700-Level-3, Cell-I

Cat. No. 2 1032 posts of Female Constable (General Duty). 

(Gen=298, SC=206, BCA=161, BCB=92, EBPG=115, ESM-GEN=80, ESM-SC=23, ESM-BCA=23, ESM-BCB=34) 

Educational Qualification- 

i) The minimum educational qualification for the post of Constable shall be 10+2 for all categories.

General Category- 160 Centimeter 
Eligible reserve categories as per latest existing Govt. Reservation Policy- 157 Centimeter

The fee should be deposited through Net banking or e-Challan in any branch of State Bank of India, State Bank of Patiala, Punjab National Bank and IDBI Bank etc. Available on payment site. Candidates are advised to choose their mode of payment i.e. Net banking or e-Challan while applying online.

Selection Process in Brief-

Physical Screening Test (PST): 

All candidates shall be put to a Physical Screening Test carrying maximum of fifteen marks to judge their physical fitness and endurance. The qualifying standards prescribed for this test shall be as under:- 

Candidates Test distance Qualifying Time 

1. Male 5.0 Kilometer 25 minutes 
2. Female 2.5 Kilometer 15 minutes 
3. Ex.-serviceman 2.5 Kilometer 13 minutes 
Note:- 
The candidates belonging to dependants of Ex-Servicemen and dependants of Freedom Fighters category are required to compete in Physical Screening Test with standards similar to the candidates belonging to their respective categories i.e. “General, SC, BC-A, BC-B“ . 

Knowledge Test (KT)- 

An objective type Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based written test of 60 marks shall be conducted of all those candidates who qualify the Physical Screening Test.

Scrutiny of documents-

(a) The category-wise score achieved in Knowledge Test of the last candidate on the list of candidates numbering twice the vacancies shall be ascertained. All candidates scoring five marks less than the said score or more marks shall be called for scrutiny of documents. All other candidates shall stand eliminated from the further process of selection. 
(b) Claim of reservation benefit or for relaxation and/or for extra marks if any, shall be admissible to only those candidates, who submit the requisite valid original certificate for scrutiny, in support of their claim before Physical Screening Test and Interview cum Personality test failing which, they may be considered under general category provided they are otherwise eligible. Information in this regard will be displayed on official website of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission. 

Physical Measurement Test (PMT): 

The candidates after PST, KT and the scrutiny of documents shall undergo Physical Measurement Test as per standard prescribed under Punjab Police Rule 12.15 (2) read with 12.16 (8) (c). 

Interview-cum-Personality Test: 

Candidates who qualify the Physical Screening Test shall be called for interview-cum-personality test on the basis of their combined scores in (Physical Screening Test + Knowledge Test + Physical Measurement Test), upto maximum three times the number of vacancies advertised in each category.
